Our take
This is the buffet dinner cruise on our dinner cruises page, and usually the cheapest fare there. It runs from 6pm to 8pm from the Eastern Pontoon on the Opera House side of Circular Quay, passing the Bridge and the Opera House while you eat from a buffet of hot and cold dishes. Tea and coffee are included; other drinks are sold on board. The boat carries up to 80, and it rates around 4.4.
On our page it sits with the tall ship as the relaxed, buffet option: eating what you like at your own pace, with less of a restaurant feel than the set-course boats. Our page lists it among the dinner boats without wheelchair access, so ask before booking. Check in at the Sydney Princess kiosk on the pontoon at least 15 minutes before; it is a small floating pontoon near Sea Rock Grill, separate from the ferry wharves. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before.
Good for
- A dinner cruise at a lower price

Think twice if
- You want drinks in the price. Journey Beyond includes them
