Our take
This is our pick on the dinner cruises page for a single dinner on the harbour. It is the highest rated of the large dinner cruises, around 4.6, and it is all-inclusive: a three-course seasonal menu with New South Wales food and wine, beer, soft drinks and coffee. With 90 guests at most, it is smaller than the 150-seat Captain Cook boats, and it is wheelchair accessible.
Two cautions. It is non-refundable, so book once your dates are fixed. And one reviewer was not offered wine with dinner, so if drinks are the reason you chose it, check what your fare covers. Departures move with the season: early evening in summer, an hour earlier in winter. It leaves from Wharf 8 at King Street Wharf, in front of Cargo Bar, where several boats share the wharf; look for the Journey Beyond logo, and find the wharf in daylight if you can.

- There’s plenty of room on the expansive top, fore and after decks to ensure you get uninterrupted 360-degree views of the iconic attractions such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge as we sail past. As night falls and the city lights begin to sparkle, we serve dinner.
