This is the family option on our snorkelling in Sydney page: a private 1.5-hour snorkel at Clovelly, in the Bronte-Coogee Aquatic Reserve, for families with children aged 8 and up. Clovelly is a sheltered bay with calm water, and the guide checks conditions on the day, picks a route to suit your family and adjusts the pace when energy drops. Clovelly is also home to a large blue groper the council calls Bluey.
Masks, snorkels and fins in child and adult sizes are included, with flotation aids for a relaxed swim and weight belts for anyone who wants to dive down. You also get photos of the tour. Meet at the free car park in front of the Clovelly Surf Life Saving Club; Clovelly has change rooms. It rates 5, but from only 10 reviews. Being private, it costs more per head than the group tours.
