Our take
This is one of the two private tours on our Blue Mountains tours page. You choose a pickup time between 7am and 9am, and the day takes in Featherdale, Katoomba and Echo Point for the Three Sisters, Leura's gardens, quieter lookouts such as Cahill's Lookout for the Boar's Head Rock, and the river ferry back to the city near the Opera House. The operator uses an SUV for 2 to 4 people and a coach for bigger private groups.
Scenic World rides are an optional extra, about A$49 each, and food is not included. You must phone or text the day before to set your pickup time and place, as the ticket explains. It rates around 4.5, lower than most group days, and it costs several times a seat on a small group tour, so it makes most sense split across a family or group. The main thing a private tour adds is control: staying at a lookout until the cloud lifts.
