Our take
This is the snorkel cruise on our Port Stephens tours page. Imagine's catamaran looks for the bay's resident dolphins first, then stops at an island for snorkelling, with a qualified guide in the water pointing out marine life. Snorkel gear and tea and coffee are included. It runs about 3.5 hours from Dock C at d'Albora Marina in Nelson Bay and rates close to 5, though from only around 20 reviews.
Swimming is optional, but you must be able to swim to go in. One thing to check: our Port Stephens pages say wetsuits and towels are included, but the current listing marks both as not included, so bring a towel and ask the operator about a wetsuit, especially outside summer.
