Our take
This is the most reviewed Blue Mountains tour sold as a hiking day, and our hiking tours page looks at it closely. It is really a sightseeing day with several short bushwalks. From its own stop lengths we count around two hours on your feet across five or six stops, and the walks run 10 to 45 minutes each. It spends 1 hour 15 minutes at Featherdale, which is longer than any single walk.
That still suits a lot of people. Featherdale entry and the Three Sisters stop are included, groups are capped at 23 and the guide adjusts the order of stops for weather and crowds. Reviewers still found it harder than expected, mentioning plenty of stairs at Wentworth Falls. Two things to check: the listing contradicts itself on lunch, so bring money for a meal in Leura or Katoomba, and several reviews mention confusion over pickup times, so reply to the operator's message the day before.
Good for
- A first visit with kangaroos and koalas as well as lookouts
- Short walks without committing to a long hike
Think twice if
- Walking is the point. The AEA hiking day spends 90 minutes on one track
- You do not want a wildlife park in the day
